TECHSPEC® C Series Fixed Focal Length Lenses are designed for use in machine vision applications with the working distance and resolution requirements of factory automation and inspection in mind. TECHSPEC® C Series Fixed Focal Length Lenses feature large maximum apertures, allowing these high performance lenses to be used in even the most restrictive lighting conditions. Each lens has a broadband anti-reflection coating, locking iris and focus adjustment with recessed set screws, and a ruggedized, robust housing for space-restrictive applications. C Series lenses are manufactured to high tolerances, which result in high levels of imaging performance with low lens-to-lens variation. Through combining optical performance, industrial features, and compact package sizes, our TECHSPEC® C Series Fixed Focal Length Lenses are ideal for use in factory automation and inspection.
Edmund Optics has created a family of high performance optical designs (the C Series family) and developed 6 customized optomechanical solutions targeted for specific applications. These lens sub-families utilize the same optics as the C Series lenses providing the same optical performance in a variety of optomechanical solutions to meet your application requirements:
TECHSPEC® C Series Fixed Focal Length Lenses are compact C-Mount imaging lenses designed for factory automation and inspection systems that require a balance of high resolution, industrial durability, and small package size.
They support sensors up to 2/3" and up to 7.5 megapixels with 2.8µm pixel sizes, with focal lengths from 3.5mm to 100mm to accommodate a broad range of fields of view and working distances.
Their large maximum apertures help maintain throughput in restrictive lighting conditions, making them well-suited for high-speed inspection stations and other space-constrained machine vision setups.
A 425-675nm BBAR coating improves visible-wavelength transmission and contrast, helping reduce stray reflections in applications where image consistency is critical.
Locking iris and focus adjustment with recessed set screws support stable setup retention after integration, which is valuable for barcode reading, measurement, and gauging, as well as vision-guided robotics systems that depend on repeatable imaging performance.
Manufactured to high tolerances, these lenses offer low lens-to-lens variation, simplifying camera replacement, multi-camera deployment, and system standardization across production lines.
Their ruggedized housing and compact form factor make them a strong fit for OEM and end-user designs where mechanical clearance is limited but reliable optical performance is still required.
For customers building visible-spectrum machine vision systems, C Series lenses provide a proven solution for automated inspection, alignment, identification, and general-purpose industrial imaging tasks.
