TECHSPEC® 100 Å Off-Axis Parabolic Mirror Family

Features Precision, Low Scatter Surfaces

8/24/2017, Barrington, NJ USA   —

Edmund Optics® (EO), the premier provider of optical components, introduces new TECHSPEC® 100 Å Off-Axis Parabolic Mirrors. This new mirror family is used in broadband UV, visible, and IR applications. Each precision-manufactured, interferometer-tested mirror features a diamond turned surface with surface roughness down to 100 Å RMS, producing low-scatter surfaces. TECHSPEC® 100 Å Off-Axis Parabolic Mirrors (OAPs) are not wavelength dependent and are therefore free of chromatic and spherical aberration across a broadband range. These mirrors are ideal for use in instrumentation and laser systems, including Schlieren, MTF, FLIR and FTIR, as well as with IR lasers such as Quantum cascade lasers.

Solid metal design for excellent thermal conductivity

TECHSPEC® 100 Å Off-Axis Parabolic Mirrors are manufactured with a solid metal Aluminum 6061T6 substrate, with no adhesives, for excellent thermal conductivity. OAPs have a focal point which is not in line with the optical axis, allowing users to incorporate various components into the system and optimize workspace. Unrestricted access to the focal point allows more compact systems with smaller footprints to be designed.

Broad wavelength range from 400nm to 12,000nm

TECHSPEC® 100 Å Off-Axis Parabolic Mirrors have protected aluminum, protected gold, and bare gold coatings that cover wavelength ranges from 400nm to greater than 12,000nm. A protective dielectric overcoat layer reduces any potential atmospheric or cleaning damage. This increases the metal coating’s durability and provides protection from oxidation, without modifying the coating performance. TECHSPEC® 100 Å Off-Axis Parabolic Mirrors are available in 15°, 30°, 45°, 60° or 90° off-axis options. In-house design, manufacturing, and coating capabilities are available for custom requests. TECHSPEC® 100 Å Off-Axis Parabolic Mirrors are in-stock and available for immediate delivery.
