If you call our Sales Department to make an order, you can make your payment with a credit card, check, money order, wire transfer, or Purchase Order (if a Net 30 account has been established with Edmund Optics).

If you are purchasing products on the website, you can make your payment with a credit card or Purchase Order (if a Net 30 account has been established with Edmund Optics).

A Purchase Order is the assigned number that a company with an established credit line with EO can use to place a Net 30 order. This purchase order/credit line allows the customer 30 days to pay for their order.

At Edmund Optics, we are committed to making sure you are completely satisfied. If you would like to return a product within 30 days of purchase, you will need to obtain a return authorization number from our Sales Department and return the product with the original packaging and return authorization number clearly noted on the shipping carton. Items must be received in their original manufacturers packaging. All returns go through an inspection. If our Quality Assurance Department determines something is wrong with the product, our Sales Department will contact you and let you know if we will accept the item or if a restocking fee will be charged and what the percentage will be. Our minimum restocking fee is 25%. Items found to be defective are accepted for repair or replacement for a period of one year from the invoice date. We collect sales tax on shipments to AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, NC, NE, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, and WI addresses, unless the purchaser supplies us with a signed official state resale certificate or sales tax exemption certificate with the order. Purchasers outside the aforementioned states are responsible for their state or local sales/use tax and any other taxes payable by reason of this transaction.

Sales tax is charged on shipping to CT, DC, FL, GA, MI, MN, NC, NE, NJ, NM, NY, OH, PA, SC, TN, TAX, VT, WA, and WI.

All International Orders are forwarded to our International Department for processing. Most International Orders ship same day; however, additional paperwork may be required prior to the order shipping out. Edmund Optics will not ship an order until all items are available to be shipped. If there is a backordered item, we will not ship the entire order until the backordered item is in stock.

Yes! Edmund Optics products have a one year warranty, unless a manufacturer's warranty exceeds that.

Edmund Optics is happy to supply you with the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) of products that you bought from us. Please contact our Sales Department with the stock number you need the MSDS for.

If your unit is out of warranty but needs repairs, please contact a member of our Sales Department for repair information.

You can email our Sales Department staff or call the regional office closest to you to request an invoice.

If the item you are looking for is out of stock, please contact our skilled Product & Application Support Team to assist you in selecting a replacement or to find out when the item will be back in stock.

Yes, Edmund Optics offers volume discounts for both stock and custom products. You can request a volume quote for stock components or contact our Product & Application Support Team for custom products.

Each stock number includes a specification which includes its RoHS compliance or non-compliance. Additionally, you can put the stock number into our RoHS Lookup tool to get the status of the product you are looking for.

If the items are in stock, orders placed via UPS before 6:30 P.M EST (Monday-Friday) and 12:45 P.M. EST Saturday ship out the same day.

If the order is placed before 7:30 pm EST, in stock items ship the same day.

An email is sent out daily at 9:00 PM EST to all customers who have had products ship out each day. If you did not receive your tracking number you can email our Sales Department staff or call the regional office closest to you to request the tracking number.

Shipping time will vary for each state. Please contact our Sales Department to discuss the delivery time to your location.

Yes! My Account users can access the online orders they have made with the Past Orders page. This functionality does not allow customers to see any orders made through phone or fax. If you need a sales receipt from a previous order made with our Sales Department, please contact our Sales Department.

My Account users can view the products they have purchased in the past and add them directly to their cart with Quick Reorder.

The Tax Certificate page allows US customers to upload a tax exemption certificate, which will waive the application of tax to an order. If you have any questions about tax exemption in the US please contact our Sales Department.

Yes! Edmund Optics stores addresses that you add during the checkout process, if you are logged into My Account. Additionally, you can add a new address to be used in an upcoming order using our Address Book in My Account.

Our Optics and Photonics Catalog & Resource Guide is distributed annually, including nine translated catalogs and two regionalized catalogs. Please enter your information in our Catalog Request page to receive a catalog by mail.

Edmund Optics was founded in 1942 by Norman Edmund. The first Edmund Optics catalogs focused on "hard to find" optics for science enthusiasts, hobbyists and educators. As the breadth and depth of the product offering evolved, Mr. Edmund created Edmund Scientific Company and was well known as the go-to source for unusual science activities, telescopes, experiments, and demonstrations specializing in optics. In the late 1980s, Mr. Edmund’s son, Robert Edmund, re-invigorated the original Edmund Optics brand to serve the needs of the industrial, high precision optics market, launching military grade TECHSPEC® optics.
